Americus-Sumter High announces August Students of the Month

AMERICUS — Americus-Sumter High School (ASHS)recently held its “Student of the Month” celebration for the month of August. Eight faculty members from the English Department each chose one student to be recognized during a brunch hosted in the ASHS library. Assistant principal Marnie Dutcher presented each student with a plaque and a “Panthers” water bottle. Dutcher praised each student, followed by comments from their nominating teachers. Following the ceremony, participants enjoyed refreshments and a chance to mingle with parents, friends, and faculty.
