AMERICUS

 

New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church

Homecoming Services are observed at 11 a.m. Aug. 4 with Sunday school at 10 a.m.

 

Big Bethel Missionary Baptist Church

The annual Men’s Day Service is observed at 11 a.m. Aug. 11. The Rev. Ferlin Tyson of Mount Able Baptist Church of Lee County is guest minister and music will be by The Jenkins Jubilees of Americus. The theme is “Men of God Walking by Faith.”

 

New Ebenezer Baptist Church

A Four Gospel Writers program is at 3 p.m. Aug. 18 with speakers: Pastor Christopher O’Bryant, Pastor Travis Rush, Pastor Ronrica Gordon, and Pastor Nathaniel Sanford.

 

Zion Hope Baptist Church

Annual revival services are at 7 p.m. Aug. 6-8 with the Rev. Timothy D. French as speaker for the week.

 

Old Shady Grove Baptist Church

Everyone is invited to the annual revival services at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5-8 with the Rev. Willie Green of Forest Chapel Baptist Church, Pinehurst bringing the message.

 

BUENA VISTA

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church

The public is invited to celebrate the church and pastor anniversary at 11 a.m. Aug. 4 when Magnolia Bay’s pastor, officers, choir, ushers, and congregation take charge of the service.

 

ELLAVILLE

William Grove Baptist Church

The church is celebrating its 110th anniversary, culminating at 11 a.m. Aug. 4 with Pastor Willie C. Kelly and New Mount Mariah and Ebenezer Baptist churches. Dinner will be served. The public is invited.

 

Jerusalem Baptist Church

Everyone is invited to annual revival services at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 6-8. Evangelist is the Rev.  Gregory Williams, pastor of Emanuel Baptist Church in Cordele.

 

PLAINS

Bethlehem Baptist Church

Annual revival services are at 7 p.m. Aug. 12-14 Bishop J. Nathan Paige as guest speaker. Homecoming service is at 10:45 a.m. Aug. 18 when John “Billy” Monts will be honored as the church’s senior member, and a memorial tribute for Charlene Wright Smith. Pastor Quintodd Bryant, host pastor, delivers the message. Guest churches for Homecoming are Greater New Lebanon, Lebanon Baptist Church, and Jerusalem Grove Baptist Church and choir. Dinner will be served.

 

SMITHVILLE

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church

Annual revival services are at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 6-8 with revivalist for the week, Apostle Patrick Holsey of Albany.

 

WESTON

St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church

Homecoming service is at 11 a.m. Aug. 4. Sunday school is at 10 a.m.
