Antioch Missionary Baptist Church

Annual revival services start at 7 p.m. July 30-Aug. 1. Evangelist for the week is Pastor Willard Weston of Sardis Missionary Baptist Church, Dawson.


New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church

Everyone is invited to the annual revival services at 7 p.m. July 30-Aug. 1. Pastor Jerome Glover of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Marshallville is speaker.

Homecoming Services are observed at 11 a.m. Aug. 4 with Sunday school at 10 a.m.


Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church

Everyone is welcome to the Annual Lay Day at 2 p.m. July 28 themed “Onward to Greater!” The Rev. Gloria F. Winds delivers the message.


Big Bethel Missionary Baptist Church

The annual Men’s Day Service is observed at 11 a.m. Aug. 11. The Rev. Ferlin Tyson of Mount Able Baptist Church of Lee County is guest minister and music will be by The Jenkins Jubilees of Americus. The theme is “Men of God Walking by Faith.”


First Baptist Church

The 30th anniversary of Keith Parks as minister of music/senior pastor, and Judy Parks, pianist, is commemorate at 11 a.m. July 28. The public is invited. Following the service, everyone is invited to a covered dish luncheon and program of inspiration and fun in the church fellowship hall. The church is collecting cards and letters of thanksgiving and appreciation for the Parkses’ service to the church and community. Mail cards to First Baptist Church, 221 S. Lee St., Americus GA 31709.  A love offering will also be received as an expression of love for all that they have done.


Mount Salem Baptist Church


The annual Mission Day program is held during the 11 a.m. worship service July 28 with Elder Mary Thomas, daughter of the House at the Freedom Harvest Worship Center in Leslie, as speaker.


Welcome Baptist Church

Revival services are July 29-Aug. 2. Guest speaker is Dr. John Williams from Albany.


Mount Pleasant Baptist Church

Everyone is invited to the annual revival services at 7 p.m. July 30-Aug. 1 with Pastor Colby McKenzie as guest preacher. A different choir performs each night: Mount Olive on July 30, St. Mark’s on July 31, and Mount Zion on Aug. 1.

The public is also invited to celebrate the church and pastor anniversary at 11 a.m. Aug. 4 when Magnolia Bay’s pastor, officers, choir, ushers, and congregation take charge of the service.



New Zion Baptist Church

Family and Friends Day is celebrated during the 11 a.m. worship service on July 28. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.



Big Bethel Baptist Church

The youth and young adult celebration is at 11 a.m. July 28 and everyone is invited. Guest minister is Emmanuel Robinson of Reach Out and Touch Ministries.



William Grove Baptist Church

The church is celebrating its 110th anniversary. The Pre-Anniversary Services start at 7:30 p.m. July 30-Aug. 1, culminating at 11 a.m. Aug. 4. Schedule is as follows: July 30, Pastor George Porter and Antioch and Shade Arnold Baptist churches; July 31, Pastor William Laster and Ebenezer Baptist Church; Aug. 1, Pastor Shirley Strawter and St. John and St. Mark A.M.E. churches; and 11 a.m. Aug. 4, Pastor Willie C. Kelly and New Mount Mariah and Ebenezer Baptist churches. Dinner will be served. The public is invited.


Jerusalem Baptist Church

Everyone is invited to annual revival services at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 6-8. Evangelist is the Rev.  Gregory Williams, pastor of Emanuel Baptist Church in Cordele.



New Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church

Annual revival culminates at Homecoming on July 28. Dinner will be served. Everyone is invited.


Freedom Harvest Worship Center

The annual Back to School Bash is from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 27 for all children to come to the forum. They will have the opportunity to talk and professionals and ministers will be on site to answer questions. For information call 229-874-8670.



St. Mark A.M.E. Church

The 149th Church Anniversary is celebrated at 11 a.m. July 28 during worship service with speaker, the Rev. Shirley Strawter. Everyone is invited to attend. Dinner will be served.




Jerusalem Grove Missionary Baptist Church

The 5th anniversary of Pastor Ricky and first lady Veronda Cladd is celebrated July 28. The 11 a.m. service is conducted by Pastor Glenn Bryant along with Greater New Lebanon, Jehovah, and County Line Baptist churches.

At 2 p.m. the pastor anniversary service is conducted by Pastor Courtney Moore and Kingdom of Heaven Ministries. Dinner will be served. The public is invited.



St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church

Annual revival services start at 7:30 p.m. July 29-Aug. 2.  Evangelist for the week is the Rev. Perez Blackmon, pastor, New St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Richland.

Homecoming service is at 11 a.m. Aug. 4. Sunday school is at 10 a.m.



Mount Zion Webster Missionary Baptist Church

Homecoming is celebrated July 28, starting with Sunday school at 10 a.m. followed by worship at 11 a.m. Guest minister is Pastor Loretta S. Stewart of Transformation Cathedral in Columbus.
