Panthers, Lady Panthers take down Cairo

The Americus-Sumter Panthers won an exciting 62-57 victory over the Cairo Syrupmakers on Jan. 16 in Americus. The hard-earned win ended a two-game region-play skid for the Panthers and brings their overall record to 14-4. The team’s region record improves to 6-4.

The Lady Panthers brought in a blowout 73-39 victory over the Lady Syrupmakers earlier the same night in Americus. The win marks a three-game streak for the Lady Panthers and brings the team’s overall record to 16-6. The Lady Panthers’ region record improves to 9-1.
